- Please be assured that all messaging activity is entirely user generated.
- If you see unfamiliar messages in your outbox that are in the form of a question, you may have accidentally chosen to send an Icebreaker, which sends a casual question to many recently active members at one time.
- To get a better idea of what this looks like, you can look under the “Icebreaker” heading in the right-hand sidebar of most pages on AYI. These questions are usually related to one of your interests or are general conversation starters. *Please note that we do not send out any messages on our members' behalf without the member clicking on the question to be sent.*
Once you click on a question to send out, there is a message that pops up stating that we are Sending Out Icebreakers to Potential Matches. If you did not mean to click on this, no worries, you can just click on Cancel Icebreaker Send within 5 seconds.
The beauty of Icebreakers is that they’re simple and easy! These messages are sent to users who you're most compatible with and most likely to respond. If you don't want to talk to these users, please feel free to delete or block this user from contacting you again.
